The vow to speak on dark forest paths is this:
“I will finish what I started.”
You are blindfolded, walking through the dark. You don’t see where you’re going or what’s going to happen on the way there, but you know why you began the journey.
You remember well.
“I will finish what I started.”
It’s a vision, a prayer, and a protection. It’s a recitation of trust in yourself to handle exactly how life flows through you and your realm.
The journey’s been long and pregnant with spectrums of energies, so make a pile of the fruits of your labors in your mind. Sing to the grief of what did not unfold as you’d intended, rage to the external interference, and then re-focus again and again on the pile of fruits.
That pile is evidence of your power.
If you cannot see the fruit, readjust your sight. You are not looking in the right places.
You know the energies you hooked into when you began. You remember your vow to yourself to expand those energies, to know the being of yourself in your realm, to know the doing of your sacred, individuated work in the world, to create truth inside connection.
“Truth and love,” you whispered to yourself in the middle of the night as ancestral wombs held you in darkness, and witnessed you tap into the wounds of the world.
Some days you walked with feet that felt like clay and you learned the infinite depth of your power and determination. You brought your medicine every time and this was a mirror to see yourself. You watched your blind navigation through realms of distortion and alchemized all of it into knowing the truth of your brilliance. You are an expert dark-walker.
You know this deep in your bones.
And sometimes your feet sprang lightly and your hands caressed found feathers and you called the truth of your soul to the land, to the water and sky. You knew in your heart and by the song on your skin that your voice was heard beyond the veil and amplified.
You never walk alone.
You once began a journey with no map but the blueprint in your heart. Blind, you met monsters and obstacles that might have brought you to your knees had you stayed too long in the lie of self-doubt.
But you knew what you started and the power of your soul. You knew the truth of your Why and the love that brought you here, to your Life.
And so. When the path is barely lit, or plunged in total darkness, you will again and always trust your feet and breath and beating heart to guide you forward to the vision you intricately know. To finish what you started.
“I will finish what I started.”
Remember who you are.
